I am free of congestive thoughts. Assimilation, elimination and
circulation. It is how our bodies
process and function and it is how I want my mind to work. I know that what I believe determines my
perceptions and my attitude. Am I happy
or sad? Am I feeling creative and
positive or am I feeling listless and mad?
My emotional state stems from my
thoughts.
If my mind works like my body, thoughts would constantly be
circulating through and what is not needed would be eliminated. What is necessary to a full and joyous life
would be assimilated. Think of a game of
solitaire where the cards keep coming up as you deal from the pile. The first time the eight of clubs comes up,
you don't need it, but by the time it comes around again it fits.
Various messages, lessons, and ideas have come up more than
once in my life. I remember reading
books that other people recommended and thinking they were full of
baloney. Sometimes years later I would
run across the book and the message would resonate deep in my heart. The first time they made no sense to me and
at another time they were the answer to my prayers.
I clung to some ideas for years before realizing that I
didn't really believe them anymore and I didn't have to live by them. They no longer fit in with my goals and world
view. We change and grow over time and
continuing to circulate thoughts and beliefs to measure their fit is a path to
well being and peace.
This is so true for me and I think you for sharing the lesson now when we are all reminded that the path we are on need not be the only option and we can always look to past lessons for new inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI agree. My being willing to a take another look at myself, to view my lessons and what resonated with me THEN as see how it elicits entirely new and expanded meanings is deeply transformative. I'm so glad I retain the willingness to learn. Beautifully written, Melissa
